The Kauff's have been in Palm Beach County for over 40 years. Howard Kauff, CEO of Kauff's Enterprises, started his climb up the ladder of success in 1964 when he bought his own Shell Station. When business grew beyond capacity, he sold it and then purchased a warehouse where Kauff's Auto Specialist began. This led to the purchase of one used tow truck. They company grew to over one hundred thirty vehicles, eleven terminals throughout the southeast coast of Florida, employing over 130 people.

Kauff's had every type of towing and recovery equipment available and made sure the employees were experts in their field by implementing ongoing training programs for all phases of their operations.

Howard Kauff has been very active in the towing and transportation industry throughout the nation. He was one of the founders of The Florida Towing Association (PWOF) and the National Towing Association (TRAA) and served in leadership capacities for the past 15 years. During this period he had the honor of serving as president of each association.

In 1983, Mr. Kauff was presented the "Outstanding Operator of the Year Award" from Tow Times Magazine. In 1986, he was presented the "Distinguished Service Award" from the National Towing Association. In 1988, he was presented the "Outstanding Citizenship Award" from the Towing and Recovery Association of America. Also, in 1988, Mr Kauff was inducted into the International Towing Hall of Fame. In 1990, both the Palm Beach Chamber of Commerce and the Northern Palm Beach Chamber of Commerce named him "1990 Small Business person of the Year".

In February 1997, Kauff's towing was one of eighteen companies the merged their companies into Miller Industries. The merger established over night, the largest towing company in the USA under the banner of RoadOne. Howard Kauff served as president and vice chairman of this division of Miller Industries till December of 1999.

Kauff's Enterprises

The name Kauff's is recognized in two industries within the Palm Beaches. The first is with Kauff's Towing & Transportation, which has been the premier towing, recovery & transportation company for the past 30 years. The second is Kauff's Signs, which is a digital sign company specializing in top quality product and customer service.

Kauff's Enterprises, Inc. was incorporated in September 1999. Our goal is to provide to quality service businesses. Our first venture, is to provide truck maintenance and repair to the transportation industry in Palm Beach County. In October of 200, we became distributors of a number of name brand trailer and our proud to sell and service these trailers at our maintenance facility. In June of 2003 we opened our Accessory Division which sells and installs after-market products from pickup bed covers, step bars and wheels and tires to commercial applications such as ladder racks, truck bodies, and toolboxes.

Kauff's is committed to being involved in the community in which it serves. We donate a portion of our time and dollars to our municipal governments, chambers of commerce, sponsor and participate in events such as Artigras and Sunfest, and actively support local businesses in our area. Our staff and most of our employees live in the community in which we have the privilege to serve.
